In the case of high blood pressure (hypertension), the dose for adults and children over the age of 12 years is initially 80 mg twice per day. This initial dose is increased to 160-320 mg according to the response.
In the case of angina, tremors or anxiety, the initial dose in adults and children over the age of 12 years is initially 40 mg twice or thrice per day. In the case of migraine and tremors, the initial dose is increased to 80-160 mg daily and 120-240 mg daily in case of angina.
