2.Using our website and services

2.1 About our service

Emeds is a digital healthcare provider that facilitates the purchase of medicines (Both prescription and OTC) through their digital platforms including website and applications and is facilitated through their licenced pharmacy. The services provided by emeds.pk are of the following nature:

1.Online consultation

Our team of qualified doctors and licensed pharmacists are available to provide you with consultation for any health condition you may be suffering from.

2. Online prescription

Our qualified doctors will issue prescription medicine based upon the symptoms identified and medical history provided. The same prescription can be used to purchase medicine from licenced online pharmacy.

3. Medicine delivery

We sell both over the counter (OTC) and prescription medications. You can purchase your medicines online and have them delivered to your doorstep wherever you maybe in Pakistan. Alternatively you may purchase your medications online and collect them in store.

2.2 When using our website you confirm the following:

  1. You are at least 18 years of age and can enter a legally binding contract with Emeds.pk.
  2. You are a resident/national of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and have provided an accurate local billing and delivery address.
  3. Your payment information is accurate. If you choose not to avail the option of Cash on Delivery, we reserve the right to cancel your order unless the payment has been cleared.
  4. You have read and understood the pharmaceutical information manuals provided on our website (in English) and are aware of the side effects of the medicine you purchase.
  5. You have provided accurate medical history to our pharmacists and retailers and have not forged any personal details including name/age/condition.
  6. You have not compromised your access to our website by sharing your login details and password with someone else.
  7. You concede that the advice of our pharmacists and the information provided on our website does not supersede the directions of your healthcare provider.
  8. ou accept our decision should our pharmacists choose not to issue a prescription to you or provide medicine based on an online assessment or should our retailers decide to cancel your order.
  9. You read and assess the packaging and labels carefully when the medicine is delivered. In case of any evidence that the medicine is damaged, expired or tampered with, you are to report it immediately to emeds with photographic evidence where possible.

3. Use of information:

The information provided on this platform is meant for a general audience. It supplements a layman’s understanding of medicine and the use of each pharmaceutical product. However, it is not an alternative to the qualified advice of a medical practitioner. Though we take care to update our content promptly, it may be factually inaccurate, inauthentic, outdated, unclear or misquoted for some reason or another. We therefore offer no guarantees and accept no responsibility as far as the local laws allow us in the context of the use of the information provided on any of our webpages.

We also reserve the right to change or delete information given on our website without any prior notice. Any negligence arising out of the use of this website and any consequential damages are solely the responsibility of the consumer. Moreover, we are not responsible if our website is not functioning correctly or inaccessible at times.

4. Our Pharmacists:

The company hires qualified pharmacists who are authorised by the Respective Pharmacy Council to dispense medicine. Our pharmacists dispense medicines in accordance with the prescriptions provided by the patient/ customer. During interaction between the pharmacist and patient if any advice is sought then under no circumstances should this advice be considered a substitute for that of your primary healthcare provider or doctor who has assessed your symptoms in person and checked your vitals.

Moreover, emeds.pk will not be held liable for any damages incurred in connection with your use of our services especially where we do not have the patient’s accurate/complete patient history. In case you have an underlying condition, you are urged to follow the advice of your doctor or specialist and not take any medicine without their permission.

5. Sale of prescription drugs:

Many of the medicines available on this website are not sold without a valid prescription. To purchase prescription medicines, you will need to present evidence that it has been advised by your healthcare practitioner. In the absence of a valid prescription our riders will not hand over the medicine. The prescription should be valid, not out of date and present the following information:

  1. The name of the doctor.
  2. Area of specialisation.
  3. Locality and name of practice/hospital.

Your prescription can be emailed to us or uploaded directly to the website at the time of placing your order.

We are also legally and professionally bound not to exceed the quantity of medicine we supply by a permissible limit. The company is not answerable to you if we reject your order for any reason or decide to decline supplying a medicine due to potential abuse.

6. Pricing and payment:

All prices quoted on emeds.pk are in PKR and inclusive of all taxes. However, you will have to pay delivery charges accordance with your delivery destination and service.

You have four payment options:

  1. Cash on delivery
  2. Credit / debit card (Visa/Mastercard)
  3. Bank Transfer
  4. EasyPaisa / MobiCash

7.Order Confirmation:

Once you have placed an order at our website, it is confirmed once you receive an email confirmation that your order has been received. Once the order has been confirmed, you are bound to pay the due amount when the medicine(s) is/ are delivered to you at the address provided. If you refuse to do so, the company has the legal mandate to take appropriate action against you and recover the outstanding amount, along with all damages incurred.

8. Cancellation, returns and refund policy

Cancellation Policy:

Once your order has been confirmed you can only cancel your order before it leaves for delivery. Once you receive an email saying that your order has been dispatched you will no longer be able to cancel your order.

Returns policy:

We do not take back return of medicines we have dispatched because we cannot guarantee that its quality has not been compromised after it has left our pharmacy.

However, in the case of damaged, expired medicine or an erroneous delivery, you are entitled to a refund or replacement by emeds. However, before returning your medications you will first have to inform us providing evidence and reasons for your return. Once we have authorises your return of medications only then you can proceed with its return to us.

Refunds Policy:

If you validly cancel your order in accordance with our cancelations and returns policy above you will be entitled to a full refund within 7 working days from receipt of email confirming your refund has been accepted.

9. Intellectual Property:

All information, graphics and resources available on this website are the intellectual property of emeds.pk. It has been curated from medical journals and requires rigorous vetting by our researchers, designers and writers. You may not use this information for any commercial purposes without getting the express consent of emeds.pk. The information and visuals, wherever reproduced, must be accompanied with a due attribution and our copyright notices.

10. Linking to/from third-party sites:

The content on this website may link to third-party websites and entities. The purpose of such information will be to provide our consumers with the latest information from relevant researchers and journals. The aim of such content will not be to plagiarise and all credit will be given where due. Emeds.pk does not assume responsibility for any negative consequences that arise out of your use of the information provided on any of the webpages we have linked to. Moreover, it should not be considered an endorsement of the products or treatments listed on the third-party website.

If you want to link to our website, you may not do so to any other pages apart from the landing page. Moreover, you are directed to write to us when you wish to link to any other pages or reuse content commercially. 11. Cybercrime:

By using our website, you agree not to lodge a harmful attack on our servers, implant a virus or hack into sensitive user and operational data. In case of such a transgression, your access to our website will be withdrawn immediately and we will be legally bound to report your behaviour to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Moreover, we are not liable for any harm caused to your computer or personal device by the use of our website. This includes but is not limited to a virus, data breach, distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS) and malware.

12. Communication:

We will be communicating with you electronically as we are an online business.But there will be written correspondence by the company in compliance with the local laws.All business you do with us will be kept on record.Receipts of the orders you place will be emailed to you and text messages sent to update you on the status of your order. We may record any calls you make to our helpline for quality assurance purposes.

13. Our liability:

The terms outlined above do not exclude the possibility of death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, the selling of faulty medicines and equipment or fraud.In all such cases, we will be liable under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and can be tried in court.

We have high regard for our client’s personal information and do not sell your data to any third parties. Any information provided by you or entered on the forms on our website will be stored on a secure server.

Any dispute that comes out of your use of our website, services and our terms and conditions will be dealt with according to local laws.
