About Sporanox 100mg

Sporanox 100mg Capsule is an antifungal medication. It is useful for the treatment of a wide range of fungal infections in various parts of the body; including the mouth, throat, lungs, oesophagus, toe nails, skin, and vagina. Each capsule of Sporanox 100mg contains the active ingredient Itraconazole, which is a triazole antifungal.

How effective is Sporanox 100mg?

Sporanox 100mg Capsule is beneficial for treating infections caused by fungus in all parts of the body. Sporanox is indicated for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal candidiasis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, pityriasis versicolor, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, onychomycosis, and fungal infections in patients with AIDS. Sporanox 100mg works by disrupting the cell membrane synthesis of fungal cells, thereby slowing the fungal growth down or killing the fungal cells in certain cases.

What dose should I choose?

In adults, the recommended dose is 1-2 Capsules (100-200 mg) taken orally once a day.

For the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis, the recommended dose is 2 Capsules (200 mg) taken orally twice a day.

This drug is not recommended for use in children.

If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
