Optachlor 5g Ointment is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections such as; sty, blepharitis, keratitis, uveitis, ocular herpes, conjunctivitis eye, and endophthalmitis.

How effective is Optachlor 5g?

Optachlor 5g Ointment is composed of Chloramphenicol which belongs to a group of medicines known as antibiotics. Optachlor 5g shows effectiveness by stopping the growth of bacteria and eventually kill them. Optachlor 5g is only effective against bacterial eye infections and will not treat other eye infections.
