About Meteor

Meteor is an oral antidiabetic agent. It helps in reducing elevated blood glucose concentration in a diabetic patient as it reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose and improves insulin sensitivity. Meteor can be used alone or in combination with insulin or chlorpropamide. It suppresses appetite and may cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea.

How effective is Meteor?

Meteor Tablet is effective in improving the glycemic control in adults and children with type 2 diabetes mellitus i.e. non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.

What dose should I choose?

For adults, take a starting oral dosage of 500mg after every 12 hours in divided doses, with gradual increments of 500mg weekly but not exceeding a total dose of 2000mg in 24 hours.
