Icef DS 200mg/5ml Syrup/Suspension is used for the treatment of bacterial infections such as; otitis media, bronchitis, upper respiratory tract infections, cystitis, uncomplicated pyelonephritis, cystourethritis, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, ear infections, throat infections, and skin and soft tissue infections.

How effective is Icef DS 200mg/5ml?

Icef DS 200mg/5ml Syrup/Suspension is composed of Cefixime which belongs to a group of medicines known as cephalosporin antibiotics. Icef DS 200mg/5ml shows effectiveness by stopping the growth of bacteria and eventually kill them. However, Icef DS 200mg/5ml shows effectiveness only against bacterial infections and will not work for viral infections.
